Just a little somethin' somethin'
Today was one of those days. You know, the kind where you have a bunch of things you've gotta do but you really want to do something else. We've all had them. Whenever I feel like that, there are really only two things I want to do -- either get into my garden or craft something just for my own pleasure. Today was a dreary, wet day with heavy downpours so crafting it was. The box that I store all the little bottles of glue I use with my senior citizens crafting class was never the right size. The original box had broken long ago so I improvised with a small gift box but it was never satisfactory. The bottles didn't quite fit and it had bugged me long enough for me to do finally something about it. So instead of the hundred and one things I should have done, I sat down and built another box from scratch including dividers to keep the bottles neat and upright, something impossible to do with the makeshift box. I covered it in scrapbook paper, stuck on some self-adhesive letters, stamped some flowers on the sides and gave it little feet so the bottom wouldn't wear out.This is the kind of stuff I do when I should be doing something else.
